Polyurethane
systems are composed of two main components, polyol and isocyanate, which chemically
react when combined. Depending upon the formulation, the polyurethane
polymer formed from this reaction produces a multitude of possible products.
Polyurethane is used in a variety of
applications, providing excellent energy absorption and passenger safety
in automotive interiors applications,
comfort, support and cushioning in shoe soles and superior comfort and
appearance in furniture and home appliances.
