Renosol upgrades quality management system registration
February 2, 2005 – Renosol's Bay City and Farwell, Michigan, manufacturing plants have been 3rd-party registered to ISO/TS-16949:2002, the international quality system technical standard for the automotive industry. The sites were previously registered to QS-9000:1998.
ISO/TS-16949 is the first worldwide automotive quality system technical specification. It is based on ISO-9001:2000, EAQF (France), VDA6.1 (Germany) and AVSQ (Italy) and QS-90000 (United States.) More information about ISO/TS-16949 may be found at the oversight body website: http://www.iaob.org.
The Bay City, Michigan, plant produces automotive dunnage, molded polyurethane sporting goods and automotive beta and NVH foam parts. The Farwell, Michigan facility produces liquid polyurethane systems and polyurethane seating, headrest, armrest and console cushions for the automotive industry.
Renosol’s third party registrar, NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NSF International. It is accredited by the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) and the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA.)
